Multi-scheme support, underpinned by hardware-based security, broad ecosystem backing and full interoperability with leading server platform vendors

today announced that its recently released Multi-Scheme Mobile TV
Security Client has achieved support from a broad base of partners and full interoperability with leading server platform vendors. The Discretix Multi-Scheme Mobile TV Security Client secures the distribution and consumption of mobile TV broadcasts, enabling a broad range of services and business models.
Multi-Scheme Support – The Discretix Client implements mobile TV schemes in use today, together with their associated cases and scenarios. The client supports the standard conditional access (CA) schemes defined by OMA BCAST Smart Card and DRM profiles and DVB-H IPDC 18Crypt. In addition, it provides an easy migration path to add new schemes as they emerge. The Client is available on a wide variety of hardware platforms, operating systems and application frameworks.
Interoperability – The Discretix Client successfully completed testing at the recent Broadcast Mobile Convergence Forum (BMCO) Test Camp held in June 2007. The Discretix client was tested opposite several of the leading Mobile TV Server platform vendors, and displayed seamless interoperability, meeting all technical criteria.
Broad Ecosystem Support – Discretix has announced partnership with many of the leading platform, middleware, device application and handsets vendors, including; CyberLink, CoreMedia, Gigabyte Communications and Silicon & Software Systems (S3). By pre-integrating the Mobile TV Security Client, Discretix offers device manufacturers reduced integration efforts, shorter time to market and reduced risk.
Hardware-Based Security – The Client is also fully integrated with hardware-based security solutions such as Texas Instruments’ M-Shield™ and
Discretix CryptoCell®, the Client offers the highest possible levels of security and robustness against unauthorized access of protected content, meeting the stringent requirements set by content owners, broadcasters and operators.
