 Barcelona, February 13, 2006 -Discretix today announced the offering of its Multi-Scheme mobile DRM solution on TI's M-ShieldT Mobile Security Technology. The resulting DRM platform represents a unique combination of flexibility with robust security, offering the ability to support multiple DRM schemes, leveraging TI's underlying security sub-system.
The Discretix Multi-Scheme DRM client software supports OMA DRM V2.0, Microsoft Windows Media DRM 10 and CPRM, all using a common infrastructure and interface. The Multi-Scheme client offers unparalleled flexibility in meeting the evolving needs of mobile operators. The architecture allows for additional DRM schemes to be easily accommodated. The combined offering has been well received by the market and is currently being implemented by leading device manufacturers.
Texas Instruments' M-ShieldT Mobile Security Technology solution provides the highest level of terminal and content security. M-Shield Mobile Security Technology is a system-level security solution that closely interleaves hardware and software mechanisms to provide the highest level of security. M-Shield technology is the key security element of the widely used OMAPT platform and recently announced OMAP-VoxT processors.
