Professor Amos Fiat joins the Discretix Technologies Advisory Board

     
 

A pioneer in Information Security Prof. Fiat will advise on research and product development as well as new security offerings for mobile computing devices

San Mateo, California, Netanya, Israel May 15th, 2005 - Discretix Technologies, a leading provider of embedded security solutions for mobile devices and flash-based storage, today announced that Professor Amos Fiat will be joining the company's Advisory Board.

Prof. Fiat, who currently serves as a faculty member at Tel Aviv University's Department of Computer Science, is a leading figure and pioneer in the area of Information Security. Professor Fiat was the co-inventor, together with Prof. Adi Shamir, of the Fiat-Shamir Identification and Signature scheme. The Fiat-Shamir authentication scheme is widely used in cable and satellite television conditional access systems.

Prof. Fiat has made significant contributions in the area of Information Security, and is a member of several conference program committees including: Crypto, EuroCrypt, SODA, STOC, and others. Prof. Fiat is also an Editorial Board member of Theoretical Computer Science and Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science. He was also the co-founder of Algorithmic Research, which was later acquired by Cylink Corporation.
