Director of Product Management – Discretix
The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, business development and other product managers to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's responsible to ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute “go to market” plan for new market segments and new products
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
- Develop sales tools and collateral
- Support sales process including, customer presentations, pre-sales and post-sales support, responses to RFI/RFP etc.
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver MRD's and PRD's with prioritized features and corresponding justification
Required experience and knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager / Product Marketing Manager - Must
- Previous experience:
- As system engineer/system architect ( embedded SW or VLSI)- is an advantage
- Understanding of operating system architecture and its multimedia framework and security components – is an advantage
- Mobile devices and Set-Top-Box architecture knowhow – is an advantage
- Experience with outbound activities as part of the product management or R&D role
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Excellent teamwork skills
