The Discretix SecurePlayer™ is a white label, downloadable content protection application that allows VOD to be delivered to the massive installed-base of connected devices. The media player is available for Android and iOS. Utilizing DRM approved by all major Hollywood studios, this unique solution allows all service providers (MSOs, broadcasters, content providers, Telcos, mobile operators, ISPs) to deliver services to all types of connected mobile devices (smartphones, tablets and netbooks) with a very short time-to-market.

Discretix SecurePlayer™ Core Components

• Content Discovery and GUI - Provides content discovery and selection, browsing of the user's library and GUI for media player functions SecurePlayer
• Media Player - Media decoding and display, optimized for the device's screen and network performance
• PlayReady© DRM Engine - Secures the service and enables the content consumptions business models. Provides content protection functionality including license acquisition, management, decryption of the protected content, key management and policy enforcement
• Revocation Module - Enables the service provider to disable the application and revoke all content licenses in case of abuse or hacking. Comprised of secure elements such as secure storage, encryption functions, obfuscation of sensitive code and data as well as code integrity checks
• Device Registration Toolkit (server component) - Performs application personalization and registration

Discretix SecurePlayer™ Deployment

The Discretix SecurePlayer™ utilizes the service provider existing infrastructure and content portal. It is a white label application that can be customized branded by the service provider and localized for many languages. The SecurePlayer™ application is installed via the relevant application markets (e.g., Android Market or iTunes store) or through direct download from the service provider's web site.
