Multifunction Printers | Imaging
Multifunction printers (MFPs) are the workhorses of office automation, allowing both small and large enterprises a wide range of options for reproducing, storing and distributing information. Precisely because of its powerful functionality, MFPs are an important conduit which without the proper safeguards can place vital corporate information, at risk. Security requirements include image encryption for securing data on the machine, IPSec for secure communication and code encryption to prevent cloning. Moreover in an increasing connected world, the MFP forms part of a larger network and is connected to external storage devices. When not adequately secured the MFP can be a backdoor for viruses and malware to penetrate the corporate network.
