Android Security
Android is a mobile operating system using a modified version of the Linux kernel. Developed and promoted by Google and by the Open Handset Alliance (OHA), Android allows developers to write managed Java code, controlling the device via a Google-developed Java libraries. Most of the code is released by Google under the free software and open source Apache license. At the recent Mobile World Congress, Google announced that 60,000 Android phones are shipping daily.

Discretix Multi-Scheme Content Protection Client is a future-ready solution, providing a complete implementation of the major schemes in use today including OMA DRM V1.0, OMA DRM V2.1, Microsoft WMDRM 10, Microsoft PlayReady, CPRM and OMA BCAST. In addition, this solution provides the flexibility to implement new schemes. The client has been ported to all versions of Android and utilizes existing Android components, minimizing integration and maintenance costs.
